Terms of Use
Last updated: 25 September 2026 · English translation: 16 October 2026
This is an English translation of the Turkish original. If you use Espi
in a language other than Turkish or English, this English text applies
to you. If the two versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.
By using Espi you accept these terms. We kept the text short; a contract
nobody reads helps no one.
1. What Espi is
Espi is a photo sharing app built on three constraints:
| In the moment | Photos are taken inside the app, right then. No uploading from the gallery, no filters, no editing |
| Required location | A location is required when sharing. It is not asked for just browsing |
| No people as subject | A photo can’t be about a person |
You don’t need an account to browse. You need one to share, like, comment
and report.
2. Who can use it
Espi is closed to anyone under 16. When you open an account
you confirm that the information you give is accurate.
3. What you share
The photos you share remain yours. Espi claims no ownership
of this content. You only grant a limited licence needed to run the app —
that is, to show your shots to other users and to produce their small and
large sizes. This licence ends when you delete the content.
With every shot you share, you confirm that:
- The photo is yours and you have the right to share it
- The subject of the photo is not a person
- The content is not illegal
4. What is not allowed
- Sharing someone else’s photo as your own shot
- Sharing photos of people without their consent
- Any content involving the abuse of children
- Violence, hate speech, harassment
- Sexual content
- Trying to produce misleading location information
- Using the app with automated tools or straining its systems
5. Moderation
Every shot and every comment has a report option.
When reporting, you choose a reason and can add an explanation if you like.
You can also block any user.
If we find that the rules have been broken, we may remove content, restrict
or close the account. When such a decision is made, its reason is
recorded and we notify you of the decision; you can appeal it.
An automatic assessment runs in the app for the “no people as subject”
rule. In most cases this assessment only warns — you
decide. If a face clearly stands out in the frame,
sharing stops; you can then appeal and a person reviews
the shot. Details are in the
Community Rules.
6. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time: Settings → My data → Delete my
account. When you do, your shots, place records and interactions are
deleted too. If you have uninstalled the app, you can use the
account deletion request page.
7. Continuity of the service
Espi is an app that is still being developed. Features may change and the
service may be interrupted temporarily. We provide the app “as is”; there is
no guarantee that it will run without interruption. To the extent permitted
by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages.
8. Changes to the terms
If this text changes, the date above is updated; for important changes you
will be informed inside the app. Continuing to use the app after a change
means you accept the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye. The rights
given to you as a consumer by the country you live in remain unaffected.
